The Sisters of Charity of Jesus and Mary arrived at St Elizabeth Hospital Latifabad in Hyderabad on 10th June in 2019. This community was initiated by Rev Sister Sophia Patras the Provincial of SCJM province of Pakistan. Sister responded to the invitation of Rev Father Robert McCulac,  a Columban Priest. Most Rev Bishop Samson Shukardin and the clergy accepted the community wholeheartedly. The first community consisted of Sr. Arsene Anthoy as the superior along with Sister Zakia Jamal, Sr. Kiran Sagar and Sr. Iram  Amin as the community members. Sr. Arsene was to be the in charge of the Nurses hostel as well as to teach in the Excellent Center for Boys education. Sr Zakia to assist in various services in the hostel such as teaching catechism, English language and arranging various programs. She also offers services to the Catholic Women Org. holding monthly awareness sessions with them. Sisters Kiran and Iram are following Midwifery Training and are well appreciated for their good service to the hospital.

The SCJM Hyderabad has been given a part of the parish called American Quarters for Pastoral visits. They also take part in all Diocesan  & parish activities and offer service to Caritas.

By the grace of God the SCJM community in Hyderabad is much appreciated and is well known for its welcoming hospitality and simplicity.
