The foundation of the Sisters of Charity emerged from the turmoil of the
French Revolution to heal the wounds of the political, social, economic,
religious and moral evils of the time. As a man rooted in God, Fr. Triest
felt called to be another Christ, to alleviate the suffering of the poor,
to restore their dignity as persons and children of God. |
